Pony Club encourages young people to enjoy all kinds of sport and pleasure connected with horses and riding.

We offer instruction in riding and horsemanship and instilling in young people a love of their horses, a sense of responsibility and acceptance of the responsibility for the proper care of their animals.

We promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self-discipline.

Pony Club Victoria minimum riding member age is 3 years.

Melton & District Pony Club offer riding membership to riders
aged 3years to 25 years of age.
Young riders are accepted at the discretion of the Club DC.
So if you have a young child (with their own pony),
feel free to contact us with a view to undertaking a
“Come & Try Day” so that our Club DC can
determine if rider and pony are suitable.
Check out the “Membership” tab for full Come & Try details
and the "Contact Us" if you wish to give us a call or send an email.

** We cater for riders from 3 years of age up to 25 years of age **

If you have your own horse/pony, you can "come & try".
You can find all the details HERE

The Melton Equestrian Park is NOT open to the public.

Anyone wishing to ride at the Equestrian Park must join one of the clubs which operate from the grounds each month.

1st Sunday - Melton & District Pony Club

2nd Sunday - Melton & District Riding Club

Unfortunately our club doesn't own/keep any horses itself - members are required to bring their own horse along each month and the club provides instruction in the various riding disciplines.

If you don't have your own horse, some Pony Club Victoria clubs run a "Riders Without Horses Program" - you can find clubs in your area by visiting their website HERE

Alternatively, there are a few privately run centres who offer Riding Instruction on their school horses/ponies.

 Park Avenue Equine - Exford

We hope you find something suitable and have fun with your riding journey :)
